In 1999, the United Nations’ General Assembly endorsed the recommendation from the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth to declare 12 August would be International Youth Day. The main objective of the establishment of the International Youth Day is to draw attention to the critical social issues that are closely related to youth.
As a Southeast Asian youth organisation working in the energy sector, Y4E-SEA aims to represent the youth’s voice in addressing regional energy issues, and raise awareness among young people on various energy-related tooics. We hope that with such purpose, we can contribute to the sustainable development of the resgion, and ensure the just, equitable, and sustainable energy transition for all.
