Today, we are so proud to announce that the collaboration with the ASEAN Youth Organisation Research Center (AYO Recent) on the research project “Assessing ASEAN’s Readiness for Clean Energy Transition” is finally launched! The research aims to focus on critical topics that are related to sustainable energy transition in the region, from knowledge gaps, awareness, investment landscape and gender disparities in work opportunities, to the profile of existing clean energy jobs.
The research will encompass a multidimensional approach by engaging relevant stakeholders and conducting in-depth analyses to capture a holistic view of ASEAN’s readiness for the clean energy transition: surveys and data collection, Identify challenges and gaps, and develop policy recommendation and action toolkits. The outcome of the research will be captured in a comprehensive research report will be jointly prepared by the two organizations and will be published on our website(s) in December 2023.
The project has secured a 30-minute presentation slot at the SDG7 Pavilion at UNFCCC COP28 in Dubai. The research findings will also be presented at relevant conferences and platforms to engage with a wider audience and be made available to policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders in the energy sector on our website(s).
