On 29th March, we were happy to have the first call with BRICS Youth Energy Agency to kick off our collaboration this year 💪
Established in 2015, BRICS Youth Energy Agency (BRICS YEA) is a youth-led international agency that aims to strengthen youth voices from the BRICS countries (i.e., Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and other developing countries in the global energy transition. With the mission “BRICS Powered. Youth Driven,” the BRICS YEA is a flagship organisation for youth energy cooperation which works closely with international organisations and governments to understand the just, sustainable energy transition, climate change agenda, the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7, promote youth diplomacy and develop policy within its mandate.
Sharing the common interest and mission, from the coordination call, we have shared with BRICS YEA our plans to accelerate the youth energy movement in Southeast Asia (SEA) and discussed further joint activities and initiatives for 2023. We are also honoured to receive an invitation from BRICS YEA to join BRICS Youth Energy Summit, which will be held in South Africa this August, to broadcast our impact in SEA to the world. 🎉
